Terms of Use — Video Player
Effective date: 8 October 2026 · Last updated: 8 October 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and AB Apps (“we”, “us”) about your use of the Video Player mobile app (“the app”). By downloading or using the app you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app. Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Android devices you own or control, for lawful purposes, under these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, resell, reverse engineer (except where the law allows), or redistribute the app, or remove its notices.
2. Free version
The app is free to download and play videos with. Some features, such as the equalizer, audio boost and custom accent colors, are available only with Premium.
3. Premium subscriptions
- What you get: Premium unlocks the features shown on the subscription screen at the time you buy, and the app will not show ads to Premium subscribers.
- Billing: Subscriptions are sold and billed by Google Play to your Google account. The price, billing period (weekly, monthly or yearly) and any trial are shown before you confirm the purchase. Prices may include local taxes and may vary by country.
- Free trials: Some plans include a free trial (for example 7 days). If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged automatically. Each Google account can use a trial once.
- Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price until you cancel. If the price changes, Google Play will notify you as required.
- Cancelling: Cancel anytime in the app under Me → Manage, or in the Google Play Store app under Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. You keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds: Refunds are handled under Google Play’s refund policy. Except where the law requires otherwise, we do not give refunds for partial periods.
- Restoring: Premium is tied to the Google account you bought it with. The app restores it automatically, or tap Restore on the subscription screen.
- Discounted offers: Promotional prices apply only for the period stated in the offer, then the plan renews at the price shown.
4. Your content and your responsibility
- You keep all rights to your videos, music and subtitles. The app processes them on your device, and we do not claim any ownership of them.
- The app is a player. It does not provide, host or sell any videos, streams or channels. Use it only with media and links you have the right to watch, convert, cast or share, and follow copyright and other laws when you do so. We are not responsible for content on servers you connect to.
- Actions such as Delete, Rename and Move to Vault change files on your device. Keep backups of important files. We cannot recover files you delete or overwrite.
- Private Vault: Vault videos are stored only inside the app on your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data permanently deletes them, and they are not included in Android backups. If you forget your Vault PIN, we cannot recover it or the videos protected by it.
- Convert to audio and casting: converting can change quality, and some formats, streams or Cast devices may not be supported. Check the result before you rely on it.
- Audio boost: raising the volume above 100% can distort sound and, at high volume for long periods, can damage your hearing or speakers. Use it with care.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the app to break any law, infringe anyone’s rights, access streams or content without permission, interfere with the app, or circumvent subscription or licence checks.
6. Third-party software and services
The app uses services from Google (Firebase, AdMob, Google Play, Google Cast) and open-source software, including AndroidX Media3 (ExoPlayer), Jetpack Compose, Room and Coil. Each is provided under its own terms or licence, which also apply to your use of it. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under those open-source licences.
7. Updates and availability
We may update, change or remove features, or stop offering the app. We try to keep the app working, but we do not guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device, file format, stream or Cast device.
8. Disclaimer
To the extent the law allows, the app is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, AB Apps is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
10. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it (and cancelling any subscription in Google Play). We may suspend or end your licence if you break these Terms. Sections 4, 8, 9 and 11 continue to apply after termination.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where AB Apps is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This does not take away the protection of mandatory consumer laws in the country where you live.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will publish the new version at this address with a new “Last updated” date. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
